Consistency isn’t always a bad thing. However, if your desire for consistency is larger than your desire to learn, you’re heading for a rough time. We see that a lot when it comes to politics (which sometimes, oddly, bleeds into science), but it can be relevant to many areas of our lives.
Great post. As usual. Consistency is good in a golf swing for instance. But what if... what if... you could be even better by learning a different way??
That's a great point about golf -- consistency is wildly important there. I was publishing in terms of "consistent viewpoints", but hadn't considered things like sports where consistency is where it's at. Great call!
