Interesting coincidence. After reading your post, I was doing some reading in 'Rethinking Church,' https://amzn.to/3HLGhiI, where the author quotes C. S. Lewis from 'Mere Christianity.
"Good and evil both increase at compound interest. That is why the little decisions you and I make every day are of such infinite importance. The smallest good act today is the capture of a strategic point from which, a few months later, you may be able to go on to victories you never dreamed of. An apparently trivial indulgence in lust or anger today is the loss of a ridge or railway line or bridgehead from which the enemy may launch an attack otherwise impossible."
Fascinating timing, for sure! It's interesting to see where those little butterfly moments come in. They're so hard to see coming or to recognize when they're happening, but they're shocking clear in the rear-view mirror.
(side-note: your comment has me slightly re-thinking a post I've been working on for next week, so kudos on that!)
